WHO

We are a creative umbrella agency founded by Merete Busk Zimmer.

Based on a creative challenge we assemble a customized umbrella team with the abilities to go through the rain to create the gold at the end of the rainbow.

We co-create with brands, strategic consultancies, production companies and international creatives from a boat in Copenhagen. We unfold creative concepts and aim to be a trusted creative partner who delivers unexpected solutions to any given forecast.

Merete founded Unfold the Umbrella because she enjoys co-creating with brave brands and clients.

Merete once presented a Nike apparel campaign “Design for Movement” while working for Wieden & Kennedy. The campaign concept was: You don’t talk about movement, you show it. Using paint strokes for movement instead of a body did not get approved by the client because the campaign looked like a work of art. When presented a second time to a braver client it got approved. The campaign won awards but more importantly it was proof that branding can be a work of art. And that brave clients are willing to unfold creativity.
